L Todd Wood was the first journalist inside the Iranian Resistance camp in Albania, where thousands of Iranian resistance fighters were transferred from Iraq to Albania after the Iraq war. Wood spent much time with the MEK soldiers, as well as with their staff at their expatriate headquarters in Paris, France.
A much misunderstood group, the Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) or People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), has declared for some time they have over 1,000 resistance units operational on the ground inside Iran. They are the only group the Iranian leadership is scared of.
