Ukraine and the United States are scheduled to sign a minerals deal this afternoon, after Ukrainian President Zelenskiy threw a fit in the Oval Office and cursed at Vice President Vance, while arguing with Trump.
The newly-found willingness to sign the deal via Kyiv comes after President Trump stopped all new military aid from flowing to Ukraine. It is unclear if that aid will resume but it is likely.
The condition for the signing is that Zelenskiy will work with Trump on a peace agreement with the Russian Federation.
President Putin also applied pressure, saying Russia in the Donbass region had access to much more rare-earth minerals for economic cooperation with the U.S.
The new deal with Ukraine will be announced tonight during President Trump's speech to a joint session of Congress.
Although Zelenskiy's trip to Europe created a lot of media buzz and tough talk, it is likely he was told Europe cannot replace the aid America was providing.
