News reports this morning describe Trump to announce new arms deal for Ukraine today, including Patriot air defense systems. European countries will pay 100% of the cost — U.S. won’t fund it. The package includes offensive weapons, a shift from Trump’s previous stance. NATO Chief Mark Rutte is in Washington for the rollout, reports Clash Report.

In a July 3 call, Putin told Trump he planned to escalate attacks and push toward full control of key Ukrainian regions within 60 days. Trump is set to announce a new Ukraine weapons plan Monday, potentially including offensive systems like long-range missiles capable of reaching deep into Russia, reported Axios.
"We're going to send Ukraine Patriots, which they desperately need… Because Putin really surprised a lot of people", declared President Trump today to reporters.
"I am very disappointed with Putin. I thought he was somebody that meant what he said. And he'll talk so beautifully and then he'll bomb people at night. We don't like that.
"We basically are going to send them various pieces of very sophisticated military and they are going to pay us 100% for them. That's the way we want it.
"As we send equipment, they are going to reimburse us."
Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service claims NATO is preparing to use Moldova as a "forward base" in a potential conflict with Russia, accelerating its military role due to Russian gains in Ukraine.
Russia is ready to hold another round of talks with Ukraine, but Ukraine is clearly not in a hurry to do so, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted, reported Russian state news agency TASS.
"Kiev is clearly taking its time. We still await proposals concerning the timelines. The Russian side is willing to continue and hold a third round [of talks]," he said.
The North Atlantic Alliance is making active preparations to use Moldova as a battering ram in an armed conflict with Russia, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said in a statement.
"NATO is working to transform Moldova into another battering ram against Russia," the statement reads. "According to information being received by the SVR, NATO is making active preparations to use Moldova in a potential armed conflict with Russia. And Brussels has made a decision to accelerate the transformation of this country into ‘the alliance’s bridgehead on its eastern flanks, given the advance of Russian forces in Ukraine," the SVR added, reported TASS.
