And just like that, we have a nuclear standoff with the Russian Federation.
After lambasting Russia for not negotiating to end the war, President Trump today confirmed he is prepositioning nuclear missile capable submarines to attack as a deterrent (We hope the deterrent already existed come to think of it).
This action comes on the heels of a tit-for-tat between Trump and former Russian President Medvedev.
This also comes after Trump excoriated Russia for enabling the killing.
We have said all along that Trump himself holds the keys to ending the war, by making it clear to Kyiv the weapons flow will stop.
Both sides are enabling the killing. It needs to end.
Trump is well within his rights as POTUS to react to Medvedev's provocation.
We would encourage both sides to keep talking, and let's stop the slaughter, and tone down the rhetoric.
