KYIV - CDM has confirmed from a reliable source on the ground in Kyiv that Russian electronic warfare specialists have been tracking LTG Keith Kellogg's (USA, Ret) cell phone in recent months as Kellogg toured Ukrainian military training facilities. The Russian armed forces then used that geolocation data to target these facilities with devastating effect.
SOURCE: -- Got intel from the ground that he was using his personal cell phone in Ukraine (likely to talk off the record with his daughters NGO) and he carried it with him everywhere he went. The Russians (masters of EW) tracked his phone because he is constantly taken on tours of Uke training and mil manufacturing. The reason they finally figured out he was being tracked is because some analyst at the Embassy noticed that every where he went the Russians bombed and destroyed it afterward.
CDM broke the news in recent months that Kellogg's daughter runs an NGO in Ukraine which profits off the continuation of the conflict.

There is speculation Kellogg was using the cell phone to communicate with his daughter in-country and that is what the Russian military tracked.

Over the last two weeks, our ground team, along with Foundation President and Vice President Meaghan Mobbs and Robert McCreary, hosted Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg across Ukraine. Because of our notable presence in hard-to-reach areas, Lt. General Kellogg was able to travel with us from Odessa to Kharkiv and as far east as Izyum. Along the way, we met with government and military officials, visited frontlines hospitals and shelters, and provided a general situational awareness of human rights abuses and overall impact of the war on everyday Ukrainians.

Its amazing to me the amount of ppl ESPECIALLY those in military command positions that don't realize that these things we call cell phones are extremely high tech spying devices.They should be banned from from all federal bldgs and esp.from the Pentagon and congressional committees on natl.defense. And of course intel offices. These phones have amazingly high tech capabilities that are constantly being updated.
Before Joe-Obamanation left office they removed all restrictions on Naval facilities that prohibited personal cell phones within "Controlled Industrial Areas" (CIA). This is a very serious issue.... first and foremost this article is a perfect example of how an adversary can not only track and individual, but also develop facility maps from the meta data which is in direct violation of OPSEC, but even with facilities security rebuking it; Joe-Obamantion forced it into action.
