UPDATE: Russian President Putin today responded to escalation against Russia with sanctions and threats of Tomahawk missile strikes.
"Russia’s response in the event of Tomahawk strikes on its territory will be serious — if not downright staggering."
Russia's former President Dmitry Medvedev today declared -- "The USA is our enemy, and their talkative "peacemaker" has now fully taken up the path of war with Russia. Trump has fully aligned himself with the insane Europe."
These comments came after President Trump increased sanctions on Russia in order to harm the Russian economy and try to force them to a ceasefire.
Russia has said they need the causation of the war to be rectified before there is a ceasefire, as it will only allow Ukraine to rebuild for further attacks.
Trump also said yesterday he did not 'approve' long-range strikes into Russia with American weapons. The weapons were likely British.
