Russia launched 1 Iskander-M missile and 180 attack drones at Ukraine overnight into Sunday, the Ukrainian Air Force reports. The attack started at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and is still ongoing with 10 drones remaining in the Ukrainian skies.
An Iskander-M missile was launched from the Voronezh region. The drones launched by the enemy include Shaheds (26 jets), S-8000 Banderol, Dan-T, Gerbera, and Parodiya decoys. Drones were launched from the following locations in Russia as well as from occupied territories of Ukraine, including the Crimean Peninsula: Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the territories of Russia-occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
So far the Air Force reports that Ukrainian air defenses have shot down or destroyed 152 drones, including 16 jet-powered Shaheds. There have been 20 strikes with drone parts falling at 4 locations. The Air Force does not provide information whether Iskander-M missile was shot down.
In Zaporizhzhia, a strike by Russian troops hit a residential building killing a 27-year-old woman. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine. 2 more people were wounded, reports UA.NEWS. The reports do not mention the total number of killed or damaged buildings by this attack.
This is the latest in a series of large-scale missile and drone attacks on Ukraine, and we are relying on the Ukrainian military for statistics on the number of missiles shot down, which have not been independently verified.
