Last month, KABC TV news (channel 7) in Los Angeles reported that a couple were sentenced to life in prison for decapitating their two children.
The crime took place in 2020 in the family home in Lancaster, CA, north of the Los Angeles area.
Investigators said that after decapitating their son, 12, and daughter, 13, they forced their younger sons, aged 8 and 9 to look at the bodies.
News reporter Leo Stallworth said, "I'm shaking my head because just hearing you [the news presenter] talk about what happened here... the level of evil surrounding this particular story, in my humble opinion, would even make Satan shiver."
"The judge was visibly outraged," continued Stallworth.
The parents' marriage was described as violent.
The judge allowed the mother to say a few words before sentencing. In tears, the mother said, "I miss my children. I love my children."
