[Beirut, Lebanon] - CDM has been on the ground in Lebanon for about 48 hours, and already a picture is emerging regarding the political situation on the ground.
Although the massive demonstrations in favor of Hezbollah during the evening hours have mysteriously disappeared as fast as they came, there is still anger among the Shia population regarding the stated government aim to disarm the movement inside Lebanon.
Driving through the Shia sector of the capital city of Beirut today, the collapsed buildings from the recent war with The Jewish State are still freshly in view.
"Hezbollah made strategic mistakes," said one source to CDM who is involved in internal Lebanese politics. "They were told technology would be critical to any future war but they didn't listen".
"Although they are now very weak militarily, there is still very strong Shia support inside the country for Hezbollah," said another source.
"What, will happen?" I asked.
"There will be blood," was his response.
