Sources with knowledge of the situation tell CDM that the second F-15E crewmember shot down over Iran has been rescued. The ground team who found the pilot has also been exfiltrated.
More and more reports indicate multiple fatalities among Iranians attempting to reach the area where the missing U.S. F-15 crew member is allegedly located, reported regional press.
It also seems there was a major firefight to retrieve the pilot.
A major search and rescue ground operation by U.S. special forces is underway, establishing a deadly perimeter around the area.
