Wyoming Congressman Harriet Hageman delivered a scathing attack against radical climate and environmental policy at CPAC 2025 in Washington, D.C on Saturday.
Linking the recent California forest fires to failed state-level policy, Hageman asserted radical environmentalism and fear mongering have brought environmental destruction and the suffering of everyday Americans.
Calling the California fires "not accidental," the Wyoming Representative pointed to "arsonists" and "homeless encampments" as the drivers of a catastrophe "years in the making."

On the policy front Hageman stated "resource management, overregulation, failed water policies all finding roots in fixation on climate change and global warming" make up the convergence of factors contributing to the recent California catastrophe.
Calling out far-left Governor of California Gavin Newsom, Hageman stated Newsom vetoed a fire mitigation bill which "could not take precedence over his plan to replace single family homes with affordable housing and multi-family units."
“In the name of climate change, in the name of our environment, in an effort to burnish their elitist bonafides, these people have largely destroyed the things they claim to hold dear”, Hageman articulated.
Touting herself as the "Chairman of the Anti-woke Caucus," she stated that the misdirection of assets and radical anti-humanist agenda has weakened the U.S. and allowed political leaders to ignore their primary responsibility to citizens.
“Like so many dictators before them, they believe that they are the experts who are entitled to micromanage our lives, mandate and restrict our mode of travel, control our food supply, and shove us into fifteen minute cities and multi-family homes," the Rep explained.
The Wyoming Congressman wrapped DEI together with climate and environmental policy as responsible for an overall disconnect of government policy with the needs of the common citizen.
"DEI allows politicians and bureaucrats to divert funds from real gov’t programs to fake programs," Hageman asserted. "A government that does things it should not be doing becomes incapable of doing those things that it should," Hageman quipped.
Hageman ended the speech pointing towards President Trump's grasp of these policies and their detriment to the U.S. A "new day in America" has arrived.
