President Trump has made a big push for illegal immigration law enforcement by ICE in many Democrat-run cities that have flouted Federal law on the issue.
The Supreme Court of the United States just rejected an emergency request from the administration to allow deployment of National Guard forces to Chicago to support that effort.
The justices declined the Republican administration’s emergency request to overturn a ruling by U.S. District Judge April Perry that had blocked the deployment of troops. An appeals court also had refused to step in. The Supreme Court took more than two months to act.
Three justices — Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch — publicly dissented.
“At this preliminary stage, the Government has failed to identify a source of authority that would allow the military to execute the laws in Illinois,” the high court majority wrote.
The White House declared it would continue the agenda of Federal agents to remove undocumented aliens in blue cities and across the nation, declaring 2.5M have left already, most self-deporting.
The Administration just raised the self-deportation fee to $3,000 if illegal aliens leave by the new year.
