Barack Hussein Obama is trending on Twitter today. He, or rather, a hashtag bearing his name, holds the top spot by a wide margin despite earlier tallies that showed #Trumpgate trending ahead #ObamaGate. The suppression of pro-conservative hashtags is common on the famously liberal site, but this one became too big to hide.

It has been an interesting Mother's Day so far, with "Father's Day" and "MILFs" trending steadily throughout the morning and afternoon, but an explosion of 400,000+ mentions for any topic is exceedingly rare. #ObamaGate has blown through that mark at time of writing, and seems headed to the rare air of 500,000 mentions.

Such numbers would seem to signal an awakening.

Americans, or at least those who are politically engaged, have come to recognize what outlets like CDMedia have reported for years: Obama used U.S. intelligence to spy on Donald Trump when he was a candidate, and after the 2016 election.

News cycles are a funny thing. Often alternative media break stories, then bang the drum in frustration until a mainstream outlet grudgingly picks up the story. This is one of those occasions, but mass media haven't yet succumbed to the increasingly obvious fact that a coup attempt took place in America, organized by a sitting president and carried out by the heads of his reprehensible intelligence agencies.

Of course, if Obama knew, it stands to reason that Joe Biden did as well. A groundswell of opinion favoring the Trump narrative is one thing. A narrative that plainly implicates Trump's sole remaining challenger in the presidential race is another.

Obama appears to be scrambling to stay ahead of the matter. Several days ago, he sent a request--a private letter--to the National Archives requesting that documents concerning his communications with Biden not be released in the hunt for evidence about Biden accuser Tara Reade.

It's a case of one scandal potentially revealing, or rather confirming, another. All of these moves come amid reports that a January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting attended by Obama, Biden, and the heads of the major intel agencies was convened to discuss General Michael Flynn.

Obama made mention of wiretapped calls between Flynn and Russian diplomat Sergei Kislyak, raising eyebrows that he had personal knowledge of the conversations.

The Jan. 5 meeting, just 15 days before Donald Trump took office, included Obama, Yates, then-FBI Director James Comey, former Vice President Joe Biden, then-CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, according to declassified documents cited by Fox News.

Obama asked Yates and Comey to “stay behind” following the meeting, saying he had “learned information about Flynn” and his discussion with Kislyak.

“[Obama] specified that he did not have any additional information on the matter, but was seeking information on whether the White House should be treating Flynn any differently, given the information,” the documents show.

Yates, who was later fired by the Trump administration, wasn’t sure where Obama got his information, the documents show.

“Yates did not recall Comey’s response to the President’s question about how to treat Flynn,” the account continued. “She was so surprised by the information she was hearing that she was having a hard time processing it and listening to the conversation at the same time.”

To wit: the DOJ has dropped the Flynn case, and Obama, and by extension, Biden, are in water growing hotter by the day. Obama knew. And the American public is finally taking notice of the true story of the past three years.
