There’s something I want to share with you, something that might challenge the way you think. It’s a revelation that could shake your understanding—if you let it. But don’t be quick to dismiss it. Listen, not just with your mind, but with your heart.
Have You Ever Thought About This?
Let me ask you something: Does sin exist?
You might instinctively say yes. Of course, sin exists. The world is full of it, right? From the smallest transgression to the greatest evil, we see it everywhere. But before you answer too quickly, let’s dig a little deeper.
Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” But does that mean sin was something God created, or is it something else entirely?
Where Did Sin Come From?
Now, here’s the real question: Who created sin?
Think before you respond. Some might say God created sin—but that’s impossible. God is holy, pure, and without fault. “This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5). He cannot create sin.
So, if God didn’t create sin, then perhaps Satan did? No—Satan doesn’t have the power to create anything. He is a created being, a fallen angel. He can deceive, he can corrupt, he can distort, but he cannot create. Only God creates.
Then, what Is Sin, Really?
If neither God nor Satan created sin, then what exactly is it?
Many people believe sin is merely bad behavior—wrong actions, immoral choices. But sin is far more than just deeds. Sin is a state of being.
It is a condition of the soul.
Sin is not some created entity—it is what happens when a soul turns away from God. “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2).
It is separation. A severing of connection with the very source of life. That’s why sin isn’t just about what we do—it’s about what we are when we’re distant from God.
What Does God Really Want From You?
This is why, when God calls us to repentance, He’s not just asking us to modify our behavior. Repentance is more than morality—it’s transformation.
What does repentance truly mean?
It means to change—not just actions, but your thinking, your perspective, your very essence. It means turning back to the One who gives life. “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” (Acts 3:19).
True repentance is not about scrubbing away bad deeds—it’s about being restored, made whole again by returning to God.
He’s Calling You Home
Do you see it now?
God is not standing over you with condemnation. He is not tallying your sins, waiting to punish. No—He is calling you home. Sin isn’t just about wrongdoing; it’s about distance from Him. And He longs for you to return.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
Come back to Him!
Let Him heal you. Let Him renew your mind, transform your heart, and restore your soul. This is the essence of repentance. This is the truth that brings freedom.
He is waiting. With open arms. With love beyond measure.
“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you” (James 4:8).
Come home.
A Deeper Truth: Forgiveness, Grace, and Eternity
The Scriptures tell us that if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus died for you, God removes your sin as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). He casts it into the pit of forgetfulness, meaning He chooses not to remember it anymore. Because our Father in Heaven operates in a state of eternity, He doesn’t act within our limited time—He is beyond time. When He removes your sin, He forgets it—not just the sin you have committed up until this point in your life. No, even the sin you will commit in 20 years (which you do not even know about yet) has been forgiven… forever.
This is the miracle of becoming a new creation: your old self dies and your spirit is reborn (2 Corinthians 5:17). Romans 8 declares there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. You stand in a state of perpetual forgiveness, not because of anything you’ve done—you can’t earn your way to heaven by good works—but because Jesus paid the price on your behalf. In fact, no human being has ever died without sin… not even Jesus Himself. He died carrying all our sins—yours, mine, and those of everyone yet to be born—so we could be free.
All you need to do is believe in Him. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10, KJV) Begin to walk in grace, which Scripture tells us is sufficient for every need. (2 Corinthians 12:9). God’s grace is new every morning; you don’t rely on yesterday’s leftover grace. Grace meets you right where you are, in the midst of your shortcomings.
The Holy Spirit is with you continually—He speaks to you, guiding you into truth. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27). When you stumble, the Spirit convicts you, reminding you of who you are in Christ, even praying on your behalf when you don’t know how (Romans 8:26).
Jesus restored the relationship that Adam and Eve lost in The Garden of Eden. Understand that the Father asks for a relationship with YOU. When you talk to God, He shows up. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in” (Revelation 3:20). Many will say, “Lord, Lord,” but He will answer, “I never knew you.” Don’t let that be you—He wants to know you.
So change your thinking, shake off that low-frequency, negative mindset. “Whatever is true, whatever is noble… think about such things” (Philippians 4:8). “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). Scripture also says, “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19). It’s a journey, much like building a relationship with anyone—yes, it takes effort, but it’s so supernaturally breathtaking when you begin to experience His love, His care, and His miracles. It is so worth it.
And then there is peace—the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). You will experience a supernatural peace in the midst of every storm you face while on this earth. This life is but a fleeting moment in the grand design of eternity. No matter the trials or hardships, God’s peace will sustain you. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
We were born behind enemy lines, and the battle for our souls is real. Satan’s ultimate goal is to deceive, destroy, and lead people away from God. Scripture warns us: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” – 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
But take heart! Though the enemy prowls, he has already been defeated by Christ. Jesus has overcome the world, and in Him, we have victory: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33 (KJV)
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV): “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”
No matter what comes against you, God is your refuge. He fights your battles, and His presence is your shield. “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” – Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
So stand firm, trust in Him, and walk in the peace that only He can give—even in the storm.
The ultimate reward, however, is escaping hellfire and condemnation. Heaven awaits—a place where God’s glory illuminates everything, where sorrow and tears are banished, where love and joy never fade. Imagine a realm so vibrant that every moment is a fresh revelation of His goodness, where worship is like breathing and fellowship is unhindered by pain or fear. This is your inheritance in Christ.
So, once again, I say:
Come home.
The battle belongs to the Lord—He will fight your battles, and you will hold your peace. In the end, we win. Satan loses.
Where do you want to spend eternity? – Remember – YOU are LOVED.
