Recently in The Miami Independent, we ran three reports on pit bulls on the loose in a neighborhood west of Tallahassee terrorizing residents, a family attacked by a pit bull in Riviera Beach, and a man was attacked and his beloved dog killed by a pit bull in Sarasota County.
However, a recent scan of pit bulls in the news shows that the situation is much worse not only in Florida but across the US. Should pit bull bans be considered?
NOTE: in this scan, it has been learned that wokery has affected the media coverage. Pit bulls have at times been reported with the generic "dogs", and one needs to search wider media coverage to learn the "dogs" are indeed pit bulls.
In Independence, MO, a 41 y.o. man was killed by a pit bull in his home, where he lived with friends. (See the news report below.)

In Katy, TX, a 62 y.o. man was killed by three pitbulls. Afterwards, the three dogs attacked a mother and her two-year-old son. The mother fought off the dogs with a chair in her garage. (See the news report below.)

In Tyler, TX, a 23 y.o. dog sitter watching three pit bulls was killed by them. (See the news report below.)

In Essex, VT, northeast of Burlington, the owner of a pit bull was killed recently. (See the news report below.)

In DeLand, Florida northeast of Orlando, a trial of two pit bull owners has been delayed concerning its lethal attack on an 8 y. o. boy. (See the news report below.)

This may be the tip of the iceberg. Viewing news videos on pit bull attacks, with YouTube algorithms, one sees more and more attacks across the country.
