The outcome tilts the Self Governing Island conservative and toward a possible merger, or at least a much closer relationship with the U.S.

The 58,000 citizens in Greenland have voted. The outcome was a bit surprising for many - not totally MAGA, but the legacy party that wanted to remain under Denmark lost decisively.
There are 31 Seats in the Inatsisartut or Greenland Parliament.
The outcome was as follows:
Demokraatit Party (DP)(Center-Right): Gained 7 seats, now 10 seats, now the dominant party
Naleraq (MAGA/MGGA): Gained 4 seats, now 8 seats
Inuit Ataqatigiit (IA)(Legacy Ruling Party, pro-Danish): Lost 5 seats, now 7 seats
Two other parties now control the remaining 6 seats.
The Demokraatit Party will form a coalition to obtain control of the Parliament. Unlikely they will align with the IA Party. The DP is interested in unleashing the mineral and oil wealth of Greenland that puts them more aligned with Naleraq and a stronger relationship with the U.S.
Legacy media has tried to portray the outcome as a repudiation of any hint of alignment. The headline for the Associated Press article (the AP was thrown out of the Press Pool at the White House and still refuses to call the Gulf of America by its correct name) was, “Greenland’s election winners push back against Trump’s wish to take control of the island”. With the DP and the Naleraq Party, their interests are much more aligned with President Trump. The AP is losing ground and respect fast, they soon will only have the AP Style guide to worry about, something that fewer and fewer adhere to or care about.
