After the murder of thousands of Christians and other minorities in Syria in March, the U.S. State Department put out a statement.
The United States condemns the radical Islamist terrorists, including foreign jihadis, that murdered people in western Syria in recent days. The United States stands with Syria’s religious and ethnic minorities, including its Christian, Druze, Alawite, and Kurdish communities, and offers its condolences to the victims and their families. Syria’s interim authorities must hold the perpetrators of these massacres against Syria’s minority communities accountable.
Yesterday, the Trump administration lifted economic sanctions on the Syrian government. We can't find any large scale, loud, unavoidable focus on the issue of Syrian persecution of the Christian religion by the Trump administration.
Perhaps these discussions are going on in private with the new Syrian government. We hope so. However, below you will see a video of a parade of Jihadi militants which only yesterday entered minority communities in Latakia, Syria, in an obvious attempt at continuing the intimidation of communities terrorized with death and violence only a few short weeks ago.
The video is shocking and disturbing.
POTUS HAS focused on anti-Christian bias inside the executive branch, issuing an executive order on the issue.
Trump has also brought attention to the same problem in South Africa, literally from the Oval Office recently.
The reader will recognize the constant drum beat of pleas globally to highlight antisemitism, and Islamophobia, but condemning the persecution, murder of Christians?
Crickets...from the American clergy in pulpits across America.
This is shameful. Marxist infiltration of the mainline churches in America is a serious blight on society.
The problem of the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the Jewish Ukrainian President Zelenskiy is also being intentionally downplayed by the Trump administration, in public at least.
Don't believe Christians are being persecuted in Ukraine? Listen to the interview below by Tucker Carlson released just yesterday.
CDM began speaking out forcefully about the subject of Christian persecution over a year ago, with our interview with the attorney for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Bob Amsterdam in London. You can watch it below. We have interviewed Amsterdam multiple times since.
If the U.S. government, American clergy won't bring attention to this scourge from their bully pulpits, CDM will do it for them.
