Three key actions have been largely ignored by the elite.

The hue and cry from the Elites about Taiwan is choreographed and synchronized.
The Chattering Class is almost screaming in their whisper campaign that Trump is going to abandon Taiwan. They also have pointed to a few cherry picked words in Bridge Colby’s Confirmation Hearing as overwhelming evidence of the whisper campaign being screamed (PS, Globalists are to use their indoor voices when conducting a whisper campaign).
First, the sum total of Bridge Colby’s confirmation presentation was excellent and in no way signalled an abandonment of Taiwan. Bridge’s statements were clear and excellent.
Second, there have been three key actions that have made it clear, Taiwan is not being ceded to China. For some reason, the experts have missed this out of the Trump Administration.
Let’s go through these three foundational points:
- Secretary Rubio’s State Department has dropped the words where America opposes Taiwan Independence. Dropping this wording was long past due. It was silly and ridiculous. President William Lai has said it multiple times, Taiwan does not need to declare its independence. It already is. This precious wording has been the darling of the Elites who longed to bring Communist China into the Western Sphere. This wording has been deleted, debate is over, Taiwan is independent, China get over it.
- China is no longer the People’s Republic of China, it is just China. Like a reverse round kick to the face after getting punched in the face in Point 1, China is now just China. Names matter and calling a country after the Party currently controlling the country stifles discussions.
- Trump Administration unfreezes almost $1 Billion of military aid paid for by Taiwan and frozen by the committee previously running the United States since January 2021. The schizophrenic virtue signalling of the Biden operatives is over. Taiwan is receiving the military supplies it has paid for.
None of this is meant to poke, stoke, or provoke China. Clarity and resolve deter and prevent conflict. Lack of clarity and resolve normally encourage and enable cataclysmic conflict. The Trump Administration is meeting its legal requirements to Taiwan with clarity and resolve.
