Chinese President Xi Jinping wants his neighbors to believe Asia is just 'one big family,' as Beijing desperately searches for a way to lessen the impact of the Trump tariffs of now 245% on imports into the United States.
The move has severely impacted the Chinese export economy and threatened the 'mandate from heaven', for the Chinese Communist Party. In other words, Xi'x hold on power has been significantly weakened.
Xi Jinping is rallying Southeast Asian nations under the banner of an “Asian family,” warning against “hegemonism and power politics” amid rising U.S. pressure.
This is humorous as China has been the 'regional hegemon' of late, bullying its neighbors and seizing territory.
A recent example from earlier today is the video below, where South two Chinese Coast Guard vessels harass a small Philippine boat near Scarborough Shoal, in the South China Sea.
On a Pacific tour through Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia, Xi secured symbolic support against U.S. tariffs and external interference, reported Bloomberg.
As the noose tightens for the CCP economically, China has declared -- We are open to negotiations with the United States in the economic and trade fields.
China is also looking to other countries to offload its cheap goods.
Beijing has sent delegations to cities like Stockholm, Budapest, Oslo, Hanover, and London to boost investment and trade, writes the Financial Times. However, China maintains a trade deficit with the EU of hundreds of billions on USD.

India is actively courting U.S. companies looking to relocate manufacturing from China.
