President Trump of course has his own unique negotiating style. 'Unpredictability' is a hallmark of the art of the deal.
So, I take it with a grain of salt when POTUS posted on Truth Social that America had 'lost India'.

He may just be adding to the pressure on Modi to 'bring him back into the fold', or at least peel him away from Beijing.
China and India, China and Russia, are age-old adversaries after all.
However, Trump can really turn the issue up to 11 if he mentions the H1-B visa issue, where tech companies bring in low-cost Indian programmers to the detriment of American workers.
This would get everyone's attention, including Silicon Valley, and would bring a another strong influence vector against Modi.
After all, Indians have infiltrated, and many say 'stolen', American companies.
I hope Trump takes this to the next level.
