As a trained aeronautical engineer, I have suspected for some time the problems at Boeing may have been enabled by a foreign enemy in order to damage America's manufacturing capability and reputation even further.
After Americans have literally seen all of their institutions corrupted, why should we be surprised that U.S. manufacturing may have been compromised as well?
The aviation industry, along with its military counterpart, has long been a bastion of serious people, doing serious business.
No longer.
This latest fiasco with Boeing product will have continued profound reputational consequences.
The incident comes on the heels of several crashes of the 737 Max, and after a long recovery period of confidence in the aircraft, that will now have to be repeated.
We expect the stock price to be seriously impacted when the market opens Monday morning.
A large section of an emergency door blew out from the fuselage of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 Max as the aircraft was well above 10,000 feet on Friday, creating an emergency depressurization of the cabin, and endangering passengers and crew.
Luckily, no one was seriously injured and the plane was able to land safely.
Alaska flight 1282, a Boeing 737-9 MAX bound for Ontario in California, left Portland just after 5pm local time on Friday when a deactivated emergency door used as a regular cabin window blew out at 16,000 feet. The controversial jet was carrying 171 passengers and six crew, reported Daily Mail.
Above 10,000 feet, humans can only survive for a period of time as oxygen is limited. The emergency oxygen system seems to have deployed correctly.
This type of mechanical failure likely is the result of shoddy construction, or faulty engineering design.
A long investigation will now have to be conducted, which will ground the entire 737 Max fleet, and impact deliveries/revenue for Boeing.
Employees have long declared the leadership at the venerable aircraft manufacturer was incompetent.
‘Designed by clowns…supervised by monkeys,' read email messages undercovered in previous investigations.
Those fears seem to have been realized.
The board needs to make serious changes, forget diversity, equity, and inclusion, and focus on meritocracy and hiring the best people for the job.

Yeah, seriously at 16k feet luckily everyone still had seatbelts on… what if that happened at 30 k feet after the seatbelt sign went off and the cabin pressure is a different story…? Also— maybe Boeing is outsourcing stuff (possibly even the bolts for the door, etc…? ) …
Exactly, . . . bolts/all fasteners hold EVERYTHING together.
