UPDATE: Amazon has reportedly backed down on this development after an angry call from President Trump.
It has long been known that most of the product on Amazon is made in China. Founder Jeff Bezos has not been a friend of the America First movement, quite the contrary.
After Amazon began breaking out a 'tariff charge' on its product sales, we noticed a coordinated media narrative displaying such pricing, saying Trump was costing Americans.
The White House on Tuesday slammed Amazon for reportedly planning to display the cost of President Donald Trump’s tariffs next to the total price of products on its site, reported CNBC.
“This is hostile and political act by Amazon,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.
“Why didn’t Amazon do this when the Biden administration hiked inflation to the highest level in 40 years?” Leavitt asked.
She added, “This is another reason why Americans should buy American.”
Chinese retailer Temu did the same thing yesterday.
