For all of Germany's worries about Hitler's ghost returning to power, and brown shirts marching in the streets, the German citizenry is sleepwalking into the Fourth Reich, as German Chancellor Merz calls for global war.

As peace negotiations proceed under fits and starts, as the combatants strive for negotiating positions, with both sides firing massive volleys into each other's territory, and Ukraine attempting to assassinate Russian President Putin via drones yesterday, Germany pushes for nuclear war.

X post translation: "We will do everything in our power to continue supporting Ukraine. This also means no longer having any range restrictions on the weapons we supply. Ukraine can now also defend itself by attacking military positions in Russia."
