Trump's signature negotiation tactic seems to be at work in his efforts to end the Gaza war and prevent any further conflict in the Middle East.

Trump envoy Steve Witkoff reportedly will arrive in Israel today to facilitate the release of Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander, and brief the Israeli government on the developments in Witkoff's ongoing negotiations with Iran to end their nuclear program.

Israeli voices accuse Witkoff and Trump of being manipulated by Iran and Hamas and its alleged supporter -- Qatar. "We want to bring the hostages back, but Israel doesn’t want to end the war!" said Witkoff to Israel's Channel 12.

Asharq Al-Awsat, Kann News reported Witkoff held direct talks between Hamas and the US.

One of the assistants to the US envoy to the Middle East, Witkoff, met directly with senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya in Qatar, Asharq Al-Awsat reported.

Israeli officials continue to push for ongoing war with Hamas and with Iran.

Israel's Channel 12 reported Netanyahu said that Israel did not ask for permission to attack the Houthis and will not ask for permission for its war plans in Gaza, and that Israel told US officials now is the perfect time to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities.

Israel says "unilateral" Palestinian state recognition will prompt "unilateral actions", as the nationalist Israeli government chaffes under Trump's insistence on peace and humanitarian aid to Gaza.

There are conflicting narratives coming out of the release of hostage Edan Alexander.

Hamas also stated: The release of Idan Alexander will be part of efforts to achieve a ceasefire, open the crossings, and allow aid to reach our people in the Gaza Strip.

For the release of Edan Alexander - Israel will not release terrorists, but will open the way for humanitarian aid, stated the Israeli government stated Israeli journalist Amir Tsarfati.

Behind our backs, the U.S. was negotiating with Hamas, securing the release of one American hostage in exchange for another ceasefire and humanitarian aid. Hamas got exactly what it wanted: time.

Israel is now againt threatening the Houthis, which continue to launch ballistic missiles at The Jewish State, despited a ceasefire with the U.S. The IDF has issued an "urgent" evacuation warning for three Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen, ahead of possible airstrikes, reported Tsarfati.

In a post on X, the IDF's Arabic-language spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee warns those at the Ras Isa, Hodeidah, and Salif ports on the western coast to evacuate.

"Due to the Houthi terror regime's use of ports for its terror activities, we urge all those present at these ports to evacuate and stay away from them for your own safety until further notice," he says.
