President Trump's attack on Iran due to the regime harming protestors against the regime appears to be on hold for the moment if news reports are accurate.
Arab governments believe tensions between the US and Iran have eased after intense diplomacy urged Trump to avoid military action. Regional states warned a strike could destabilise the Gulf and raise global energy prices, reports FT.
US–Iran communication reportedly reassured Trump that Iran had halted killings of protesters and planned no executions, reducing fears of imminent conflict.
While some US military movements continue and options remain on the table, officials say Washington is giving talks time to develop, at least for now.
Senior Saudi official to AFP -- Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman convinced US President Donald Trump to “give Iran a chance.”

Senator Lindsey Graham kept up the pressure -- Senator Graham on reports that Trump is de-escalating on Iran:
"All the headlines like these are examples of reporting that are beyond inaccurate. The circumstances around the necessary, decisive action to be taken against the evil Iranian regime have nothing to do with President Trump’s will or determination. Nothing could be further from the truth. Quite the opposite. Stay tuned." (h/t Clash Report)
Meanwhile, Treasury Secretary Bessent vowed to 'follow the money' as he described capital flows out of Iran to benefit its oligarchy which may be losing control.
Of course, the Trump administration is a master of disinformation and diversion prior to military action, so time will tell.
