The start of the recent phase of the Iran war has been shrouded in mystery as to the exact way the initial attack unfolded several months ago.
Many disputed U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's claim that the U.S. went to war, following Israel, to defend them, and provide the support needed.
Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu put that mystery to rest, by admitting he pushed Trump into the conflict, something President Trump has denied.
"When I came to President Trump, I told him: "We are going into Iran. I did not ask permission. I simply informed him of our plan.
"As long as I am Prime Minister, we will maintain the "security zone" in southern Lebanon.I devoted most of my adult life to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
"I was not prepared to allow a chain of thousands of years of Jewish history to be broken because these ayatollahs obtained nuclear weapons. That is why I devoted most of my adult life to this cause—also as Prime Minister.
"Security is not achieved through words. Security is achieved through strength and determination.
"According to one simple rule. Our ancestors knew it:
"If someone comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first."
I don't believe a word he says.
Nobody forced Trump to attack Iran. Trump acted to protect America from their nuclear missiles.
Israel has the right to defend itself as it sees fit.
They attacked Iran together because it served their defensive interests.
