Not sure who needs to travel from Afghanistan to the U.S., but those days are over.
In today’s episode of “Days of Thunder”, President Trump completely or partially banned travel from the citizens of 19 countries to the U.S.
Traveling to the U.S. is a privilege, not a right and these countries do not meet the minimum bar of trustworthiness to allow travel of their citizens to the U.S.
From the WSJ article (which may be behind a paywall),
“The ban, which Trump signed on Wednesday evening, will completely bar travel to the U.S. by citizens of the following countries: Afghanistan, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Chad, The Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
Citizens from an additional list of countries will be barred from permanently immigrating to the U.S., along with applying for tourist or student visas. Those countries are Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela. Citizens from these seven countries will still be eligible for other temporary visas, such as the H-1B or other temporary work visas.”
I’m loving every one of these days of Thunder - every day is another fury of activity to Make America Great Again. If someone doesn’t like it, go live in one of these 19 countries for a year and tell us how it was.
