I'm really proud of the Canadian truckers. I wish our United States truckers would do the same.
Are shoplifters and other thieves in Canada simply allowed to return what they steal with total impunity? What about cops who do illegal search and seizures? So much for rule of law.
I don't know why you haven't noticed, Larry, but few things are more plastic than law. The way it's applied by the legal community (feeding off both ends, twisting it as much as possible, creating loopholes, mad judicial interpretations) I'm not sure you'd really like to ruled by it. And, to circuitously answer your question: Yes, truckers at the Alberta US border are being given a standing opportunity to have their crime ignored with total impunity whenever they decide to go home. This will likely be applied eventually everywhere. Take this as a learning opportunity.
The police sure are turning out to be a disappointment. Instead of serving and protecting they've merrily embraced their role as oppressor. In the USA as well as in Canada. They've become the Brownshirts of the radical Left.
Please clarify. There are no conservatives in Canada. Even these Truckers would mostly identify as socialist if they could think about it. Canadians are born wanting a government job with pension.
