My ears are bad: my then better one was killed by a cell phone, and my remaining one has serious high frequency loss – which muddies most consonants. With only one ear, following a voice is hard because of not having the other to resolve sonic ambiguities and to separate signal from noise. Your broadcast environment had a lot of background noise. Matt often talked away from his lavalier. Col Mills environment was better and I could follow most of it. Your microphones were inappropriate for the situation and I lost most of it your words – even in my quiet room with my hearing aid and volume turned up. You should each be talking through a headset boom mic.
