On the travel vlogger front, it can be hard to find one with an interesting take on things related to practical travel, navigating country propaganda, and speaking critically about various sites.
As a classic liberal that moved to indy and the right in 2020, I find the genre to be dominated by left-to-far left thinking. They can slide towards Wokery, producing a big eye roll here and having to mentally navigate through that.
Then I started watching those by "Escape with Emily". At first I was suspicious of this young and attractive American woman globetrotting in the genre. But since watching her takes on Algeria, I started to get hooked.
Then I saw her vlog videos featuring issues brought forth at a 2026 Remigration Summit in Porto, Portugal featuring Greg Bovino from US ICE, and then when in the UK, witnessing the "Unite the Right" rally, I thought wow, she's "going there".
I may not agree with all of Emily's assessments, but that's not the point. I sure feel comfortable in this space of discussion. Wokery is a debate killer and leftist-authoritarian, done with that and no... thank... you.
