The code has finally been cracked on entitlement spending.
We were lectured from President Johnson’s days in the 1960s that entitlement spending was mandatory or non-discretionary.
No matter what, we were legally required to throw our money out the window.
Now the code has been broken. Entitlement spending is based on head count. When headcount is eliminated by discovery of fake enrollments, entitlement spending goes down.
The most recent finding of Vice President Vance’s Fraud task force was that almost a million enrollments were invalid.
People who did not exist or were not eligible.
Where was this money going? Overseas, to Illegal Aliens, to domestic scammers, NGOs, all of the above.
No more can we be lectured on mandatory spending.
With a modicum of oversight, the Great Society started by President Johnson and cultivated since then has been shown to be a massive money laundering operation.
By cutting down significantly on the $5 trillion of annual entitlement spend (out of a total of around $7 trillion in the annual federal budget), a lot more money will be in our pockets and the U.S. debt can be paid off in 10 years.
