The Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling, where former Attorney General Eric Holder is employed, will lead the vetting process for the prospective democratic vice-presidential candidates.
Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has requested vetting materials from at least eight candidates for the democratic vice presidential slot so far.
The list includes one U.S. senator, a former U.S. congressman and six governors.

Former Louisiana Congressman Cedric Richmond;
North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper;
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer;
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro;
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz;
llinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker;
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
