Karoline Leavitt, former White House Press Secretary, is joining Fox News as an on-air contributor. Fox News announced on October 5 that Leavitt will begin analyzing and commenting on politics as a contributor on November 1 across Fox News platforms.
Leavitt served as the 36th White House Press Secretary, the youngest in U.S. history, during Donald Trump's second term. She held the post from January 2025 until she stepped down in August 2026 to spend more time with her family. Leavitt has continued to serve outside the White House as an advisor to the President and works with the Trump-aligned super PAC MAGA Inc.
According to Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, Leavitt's "firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail" will bring "authentic and sharp insight" to the network's reporting. Leavitt said she looks forward to bringing "the same energy and candor that defined my tenure" to Fox News viewers.
The hire follows recent appearances by Leavitt on Fox programs, including Sean Hannity's show, and continues the network's long trend of hiring former officials from the Trump administration. Leavitt will be the second Trump press secretary to work at Fox, after Kayleigh McEnany.
Leavitt has relocated to New Hampshire with her family, and Fox plans to set up a home studio to have her contribute commentary from there instead of returning to Washington to do it from the newsroom.
